Ground Hog Day 2016

A project has been given the go ahead to wash out salt deposits into the Shubenacadie River and replace the empty space to store natural gas.
Assurances have been given that this will be done safely. However, I have to think of how many time lies have been told and statistics exaggerated every time massive amounts of money is involved in any project like this.
As a photographer, it leaves me with an urgency to document the Shubenacadie River, which is located in an area I now call home.

This is a montage of several photographs I have taken of this particular tree throughout the years. The tree is located near the shore of the Shubenacadie River in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia.
I took these photos while walking along Indian School Road.
I am considering making prints of this montage.
